CRAIG STEVENS

Craig is an experienced advocate.  For 28 years he was a litigation partner with DLA Piper before joining Capital Chambers in 2013.  He has been lead counsel in the High Court, Court of Appeal, Privy Council and various specialist Courts and Royal Commissions. He undertakes a range of insurance, commercial, and public law litigation. Craig's clients have included listed and private corporates, local authorities and crown entities.  

Since 1998 he has been a NZLS Litigation Skills faculty member, and since 2015 an Advanced Litigation Skills faculty member.  Outside of the law he has been actively involved in various community work. In 2022 he was awarded a Hunter Fellowship by Victoria University of Wellington for outstanding support of the goals pursued by the University.
